Gluhwein Weekend at Artvark Gallery from 9 to 11 August
We have entered the month of August, and as South Africans we love celebrating something…and it’s the month to celebrate WOMEN.
Artvark Gallery is hosting a Gluhwein Weekend to join in the celebrations that falls in the mid of winter, from the 9th (National Women’s day) running through the whole weekend we invite anyone and everyone to come enjoy some Gluhwein with us.
Artvark is proud to have about 36 female artists work featured within our space. With the lovely aromas of the winning recipe in hand you will be secured against the cold outside, surrounded by paintings, prints, illustrations, ceramics and jewellery pieces all created by these fabulous women to keep the soul warm.
Yes you did read “winning recipe”, we thought a little competition can make things more interesting and fun. So what does this entail?…all you have to do is send us your “lekkerste” Gluhwein recipe. We will try them out and select the one we find has the nicest ‘personality, spunk, scent and body’, this will be the Gluhwein served over the weekend.
What is a competition without something being up for grabs??? So the winner will be awarded with the bragging rights that they created a spicy and glowing ambiance in Kalk Bay over the weekend with their recipe’s aromas. But that’s not all….we will also match the bragging with a piece from the Artvark cutlery range – the nutmeg design spoon (one of the last pieces available).
So do you have a recipe for us?? All you have to do is to post it to our facebook wall or even email (artvark@iafrica.com) it to us if you want to keep it a secret before midnight on the 6th of August.
If you are a Gluhwein drinker that craft your own, expert, buys it from Woolies 😉 or you have not tried it before, now is your chance to come and enjoy gluhwein..so be sure to pop in anytime between 9am to 6pm at Artvark Gallery, 48 Main Road, Kalk Bay, Cape Town from the 9th to 11th August.
